The way Grandma showed us.

It’s a warmth we learned from Grandma Edith. With her undivided attention, magazine set aside, listening to your story about a lizard.  With that favorite casserole cooling on the counter when you came.

That warmth translates into more than simple care.  It’s knowing which TV show helps Lucy get settled when she’s stressed. It’s remembering Denise’s birthday and her granddaughter’s name. It’s noticing that David is waiting for someone to push him to the karaoke party. It’s care that communicates: you’re part of a family

Why residents are at home here

My mom has dementia.... The staff there are all mostly nice and respectful and really understanding about my mom's disease and know how to handle it when she gets into her fits they don't get stressed when she asks questions over and over again and they treat her good 😊
From the very first conversation, I felt completely supported. They took the time to understand my goals, asked the right questions, and delivered work that felt aligned with my voice and vision. The process was smooth, thoughtful, and surprisingly enjoyable. I genuinely felt like I was in good hands the entire time.

We’re consistently present  for everyone who enters our building. Like that solid presence in the rocking chair, it’s a combined force of calm and stability that’s ever present.
We get to know our residents – their hobbies, favorite snacks, family stories, and the things that bring them joy. Because every individual matters, and when someone matters, we’re interested.
We’re there for our team – Collabing , communicating, and supporting staff are top priorities. Because Edith Lane’s unique warmth is fueled by a staff who love what they do, a team that becomes like family, and leadership that’s hands on.
